“For me there is always a tremendous amount of grace attached to the making of a good film or photograph. As the years continue, my goal as an artist is to be a better conduit for that grace to flow though.”
Ben Pearson is an acclaimed photographer and filmmaker with numerous awards, honors, and gallery shows to his credit. Ben co-wrote and directed the cinematography for the dramatic feature The Second Chance (2006). In 2009 Pearson made his directorial debut with the feature-length documentary Kabul 24, a riveting account of eight Western aid workers held hostage by the Taliban in the weeks prior to 9/11. Recently Ben completed co-writing and directing the cinematography for the screen adaptation of The New York Times best-selling memoir Blue Like Jazz (2011). He has made his home in Nashville for the last twenty-one years with his wife Elaine.
Although Ben embraces digital imaging, his first love and trademark is traditional analogue film.
